If you notice you will find that most melee units don't attack automaticly even when the enemy is close by. But if you set their stance to aggressive they become more effective.

yeh I used that for some of the campaign missions. I also made my archers and catapults on 'hold your position' when they are behind a wall.

You can change the default stance for that unit for that perticular game. Hold Alt then select the stance. This will apply to all the unit of that type.

Yeah I knew how to do that, but is there anyway to mod it so it automaticly is agressive for all games and all units?

Yeah, very easy. Just go to db.units and mod the files in there. I guess I don't even need to explain because you will understand when you got into the file(s). However if you changed them you will be unable to play multiplayer game, unless we both have the same mod installed...

I'm not sure you would like agressive stance on all your units... When units are in agressive mode and they spot and enemy unit, they will follow it untill they kill it or it goes a long distance out of visual range, This would cause a big mess in your army when you're not using it to attack.
I doubt you would find any real uses for this stance as those situations only occur in very complicated games which you wouldn't really like. I advice just having a constant look at the mini map and controlling your units manualy.
