Normally people don't tend to play epoch 6 because the Chinese and Mayan cannons are too strong(Dragon Songs are fast reloading heavy artillery with area effect and Hornet Throwers are too strong in that epoch) But it's actually quite fun to play without them ruining Epoch 6. The game is balanced out quite good. I've got bored from playing Epoch 5 with massive crossbowmen and ballistas army and using Roman all the time. I want to try something else and wonder if anyone agree wth me. I have been playing Epoch 6 most of the time now in multiplayer and I just write that in the game title:
Chinese & Mayan Not Allowed

Well, the Dragon Song may have very fast reloading and sizeable area affect, but its damage is still pretty weak if I remember rightly.

Unlike other heavy artilleies, Dragon Songs are designed for killing infantries, not buildings. Their attacks are weak but it is enugh to kill a heavy infantry. That's what the designers think dragon songs are for. But they didn't expect that people will mass them and create a huge destruction.

Japan are the perfect support civ for eeII.. the problem is they cant get their military off the ground fast enough... but the ninja allows you to rush in and kill everything and everyone except what has been built (or if youve prepared for a ninja rush..) Though I must say if you have an ally with a strong military and they have built defenses they will be susceptible to your ally (wasted rescources on the outpost)

LOL, I used to lose if the enemy use Ninja rush. But if you manage to hold off the ninja's attack and built enough outposts to defend against the, it's pretty easy to win since the Japanese doesn't have a good military unique unit in that Epoch.

They have a power called Toxic Contamination, which can be used in City Centers and Warehouses. When being used, all citizens who are near to that City Center or Warehouse will get poisoned and die.
