There is a wonderful discussion regarding attack queues on another site where it says that you can get units to attack in order by holding SHIFT and RIght click on the enemy unit.
I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly so someone please clarify. Here's what I do:
Double click on my unit that is going to attack Shift Right click on the unit that is going be attacked
Firstly -- I can't click on the entire enemy unit, it only lets me click on one enemy soldier. And doing that, makes my entire unit move in that direction and attack. Is this right?

Oh.
1) Click on your unit (left click) 2) Press and hold shift key 3) Right click on the unit you wish to attack, and right click on each enemy unit you want to attack, and your unit will attack it in that order.

Isn't there a thing called "attack move" or "move-attack"?

attack move = ctrl+ right click+ drag mouse direction
heres an example of an attack queue: 1. select your army, 2. right click enemy hero 3. hold shift+ ctrl and right click and drag area behind enemy army 4. hold shift and right click enemy buildings 5. hold shift and ctrl+rightclick elsewhere

Hmm... I thought you guys would've known this by now, I'll try and explain it and this applies to all RTS games.
Attack-Move: Ordering a single or a group of units to perform an attack-move to some location will cause them to start moving in that direction just like a normal move order, the only difference is that if they encounter an enemy force on the way they will stop and attack it instead of ignoring it. Most players use this when they want to attack an enemy base, issuing this order on the enemy base or slightly behind it will make sure your units won't stop until the enemy base is completely destroyed. This is also useful when you're moving your army a long distance and don't want to risk your army being killed while they are busy moving.
Queuing Multiple Orders: While issuing multiple tasks to one unit or a group of units will make the orders overlap and just make units perform the last one that was ordered, you can hold the Shift button while giving multiple orders and this will make your units perform their given tasks one after the other. For example- when I order a citizen to create a building I wouldn't want him to stand around doing nothing after he's done, so while holding Shift I will order him to build the building and without releasing the Shift button ordering him to gather recourses. This will will make sure the citizen goes straight to work on gathering recourses the second he finishes the construction of the building, this ensures you use the full potential of the worker and won't have idle worker time. Like mentioned before, this can also be used to make your units attack enemy units one after the other or if you want, issuing multiple attack-move orders to clear different areas one after the other without your intervention.

That's what I do with the citizens. But I rarely use attack queues for military units.
