Pretty much as the title says n_n. Please update this section with different stratgegies for anything that relates to Empire Earth. This can be mulitplayer or single player but not map designing tactics. n_n. Anyways, here are some basic infomations that help...
Resource Priorities. NOTE: This is general, does not cover special situations
1. Food
Food is vital as your citizens are made up of food, as well almost every other land unit in the game. Food is the easiest to obtain, you may gather it by hunting, foraging from patches, farming, or fishing.
2. Iron
Iron takes priority over gold because most of the best units in the earier stages of the game require iron over gold. Iron must be mined.
3. Gold
Gold is less important at the earier game, but as technology improves in the game, so does the demand for gold. Planes require gold, as do anti tank weapons, and my personal favourite unit: The sniper. Must be mined.
4. Wood
Wood makes naval units, anti-tank & cannons, and buildings. Other than that, wood hasn't really much of a use, and buildings would only be build in doubles as an expansionism tactic, or to increase unit production. Cut down trees to obtain wood
5. Stone
Not useless, but the most useless resource in the game due to unit producing & expansionism buildings not needing stone. To my knowledge, no unit in the game requires it. The only reason someone would need lots of stone is to create towers for defence.

Defensive
ut here is my favourite defencive tatic I always use. And I'm sured a lot of people use this. Build a wall then hide ranged units catapults behind(I normally play ages between Bronze to Industrial). And build towers. Then build a temple and university to prevent prophets disasters and conversions. If I can I may build a stragic hero to heal my troops.
