I've played EE with my friends, we choose random map. map type small, map size large island, standard high, we start from prehistoric to atomic modern, and reveal map, we begin with 20 civ. What bothering me is, he can advance to stone age within 4:39 (based on F11 clock). I've already done populating, build houses near the capital, all my civ doing hunting, i also know how to advance to next epoch, but my best time only reach 5:21.
Is there anyone know, how to do that ? thanks

Just keep building citizens and send them to gather resources. Use most of your citizens to gather food, gold and iron so you can advance more quickly.

in prehistoric at standard high you have 800 foods at the beginning, to advance to stone age you must reach 1122 food. if i send all my cit to collect foods the calculation : 20x15 = 300 time needed 2:51 - 3:00 (F11) food = 800 1,100 food needed (1,122) outstanding = 22 Not to mention you must send ur cit to build 2 building or create TC to advance the epoch. and also you need time almost 2 minutes (f11) to convert u to stone age. If you build your cit that time u'll never reach that epoch because you decrease your food. That mean u need more than 5 minutes to reach stone age, while he can do that below 5 minutes. You'll end up with your battleship-renaissance againts their bs-bismarc. PS: they're not cheating

The main problem in EE is that there is as much stratergy in it, as there is in my soul bowl, and as you can imagine, that's not quite alot.

check your civ bonus points, make sure you increase your cit speed, maybe he also has points invested in hunting and foraging
